Many people are not models, but you do not need to be one to strike a great angle. Most of the people I photograph are not models and I have helped them pose to look their best. You can see pictures of normal people all over my TikTok and Instagram pages looking stunning. The feedback I have received the most from clients is they feel comfy and at ease at shoots. I bring my funny and kind personality to giving direction. With that direction I will make sure that you look your best!
My advice for models starting out:
1.) Be picky! Hire photographers who do amazing work that you love! Working with experienced photographers can make your experience as a new model so much easier!
2.) Be clear! Communicate with the photographer and let them know you're new to modeling and just want some practice in front of the camera. Let them know your expectations. Are you looking for help posing? facial expressions? prop handling? most photographers can help teach you techniques that'll help you throughout your entire career.
3.) Be safe! Never meet someone you don't know alone. Meet in public or bring a friend! And always let someone else know where you're going, how long you plan on being there, and who you will be with. Our community is relatively safe. But being aware and communicative can save you from some awkward or scary situations.
Typically, I do not post all my work on my website or social media. You can expect to see highlights of your session on social media. If you would like to secure an Instagram post or TikTok video let me know and we can make that happen for a fee.
Since I absolutely love traveling, I work hard to make my travel rates as low as possible. I will only charge you for necessary costs of traveling, not for the time traveling. This includes airfare, stay, food, transportation etc. Traveling is different for every location and based on the time of year, so reach out for more details.
So I typically book 1-2 months out. But, there have been times where I'm booked 3-4 months out! I recommend reaching out and starting the process 3-4 months before your project date to guarantee you get your photos in time! But if you're looking for a sooner date, no worries! I try to keep some dates clear throughout my calendar so if you're in need of some quick pics I can do my best to accommodate.
I guarantee a minimum of 50 photos per hour. However I will not hold back any pictures. If the picture is in focus, you look gorgeous, and it's not a repeat, I will send it to you. Usually I end up sending 80 pictures per hour. But every session is unique and depending on the type of session you may receive more images.
I always tell my clients that I'll only remove/change things that are not permanently you! So acne, bruises, and bumps that are not permanent I retouch to help your skin feel more even and soft. But scars, body shape, and rolls will not be removed or changed. I feel that it is important to help you along on your self acceptance and self love journey, and its hard to accept a body thats being retouched to "look better on camera". Representation of your body type is important and doesn't need to be changed. Let’s help you love and accept the body you're in! After all, it has gotten you this far.
I shoot all my images in RAW to capture as much color and exposure information as possible. I make sure to edit tone, color, brightness, and everything else that goes into making you look amazing in your pictures. I will send high quality JPEG images to you when I am finished. I do not include RAW files. When we work together, you are choosing me for my artistic vision and I will reflect that with love and care in your photos.
If you are a photographer using these images for branding, we can discuss sending RAW files with an additional fee and an agreement.
I picked up my camera for the first time on February 1st, 2019 and haven't looked back! I started full time in the Spring of 2021.
I accept credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions (bank transfers). This is all done through my contract which will be emailed to you after we choose the date, time, and concept for your photoshoot.
My average payment structure is 50% of the agreed upon price will be due within 1 week of receiving your contract and the next 50% is due a week before our photoshoot date. If payment structure is the only reason that you are not able to schedule a shoot, please reach out and we may be able to come to an agreement.
Sometimes life happens and we need to reschedule or cancel. I prefer to reschedule a session because I pour my heart into every project and I'm excited about it too. However my time is limited and I do not always have the time to reschedule immediately. My policy: Let me know if you need to reschedule as soon as possible and I will do the same if something comes up. If you reschedule 2 weeks prior to our session date there will be no fee. If you reschedule within those 2 weeks there is a $50 rescheduling fee. When rescheduling you can only reschedule a maximum of two months ahead of your current session date. You are allowed to reschedule a maximum of 2 times before the shoot will be cancelled. All monies paid are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. If you have paid the deposit I will not refund it. If you cancel after paying the second half I will not refund any monies.
